About Deux Femmes
Deux Femmes Decorative Art and Design is a leader in fine specialty finishes. We cater to the local CT + NY residential areas, as well as national and international markets.
Co-owners Morgan Tallman + Megan Lindsey have over 30 years combined, hands-on experience in the industry, with expertise in decorative painting, design, and color theory. Their love of collaborative projects and their deep desire to create beautiful spaces makes their process with designers and clients one of ease, professionalism, and joy.
Along with the owners, the predominantly female Deux Femmes crew is comprised of expert artists who execute projects with focused attention and incredible talent. Because Deux Femmes works extensively in residential houses, we pride ourselves in caring for your space, showing respect to your home, and working efficiently to complete projects in a timely manner.
Our hand-applied finishes are customized to your individual needs and we tailor each project to be unique and specific in both color and design. Our extensive portfolio of finishes range from traditional to modern and our ever-growing inventory currently houses over 80 samples, with infinite custom color options.

Our Process
Our goal is to create a working experience that is seamless, exciting, and produces great results. Because each project has its own distinct flavor, we offer different options to best connect and collaborate.
Connect
Let’s meet! The optimal way to connect for any new project is to meet onsite. By meeting onsite, we are able to gather essential information about the space. Most beneficial to meeting in the space is the ability to accurately price the project. Beyond that, there are many other perks to onsite meeting, such as reviewing fabrics, finishes, and colors within the specific light of the space, and noting any subtle characteristics within the space that need extra attention. Onsite meetings also help to most effectively direct any potential custom finishes.
We can work with you remotely! Sometimes meeting onsite is not an option. Our extensive experience with remote collaboration provides you with the same level of care and attention to detail. We communicate quickly and efficiently via email by sharing photos, finishes, inspiration, and building plans so we can offer prices for budgeting. And don’t forget, there is always the good old fashioned mail! With FedEx, we are happy to send & receive fabric swatches, samples, finishes, and other resources.
Collaborate
We’ve met! Now what? We get to work. First, we process the project and send out quotes. We feel it is important to stay up front with costs from the beginning. Once a cost is approved your project moves forward.
Next up is production, where we create the custom samples agreed upon during our earlier meetings. Quick turnaround time is always our goal.
When custom samples are complete (and dry!) we discuss, either in person or once your shipped samples have been received. The first round of samples are included as well as any minor tweaks for approval.
Complete
Once we receive your go-ahead, we schedule your project. A deposit holds your spot in our calendar and secures your project’s timeline. That means no surprises or hang ups when it comes our commitment to your project. Once onsite, we work quickly and efficiently to compete your project in a timely, tidy, and friendly fashion.
